Who are we
Meet the team
Co-Founder | Managing Director
Aron has worked as a Door Supervisor, Close Protection Operative and as an Operator, Trainer and Manager. He is responsible for business assurance and development with our larger clients. He has worked in the security sector for 25+ years and constantly has his finger on the pulse of the industry - working closely with a multitude of industry-leading companies and interests.
Prior to entering the Security Industry, Aron served for 8 years in the British Army before studying at the University of Coventry and then University of Birmingham. He has worked for the NHS as well as in business development for large multinational corporations.
Prior to co-founding Umbrella was training the next generation of security operators.
Co-Founder | Customer Manager
Starting his career in the private security sector in 2014, Alex has worked across the UK as an operator, manager, and trainer with a variety of established and start-up security companies. Alex is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Umbrella, as well as the development of additional services for our members.
Alex has attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst & the University of Edinburgh, where he read Philosophy & Theology. He enjoys the challenge of operating in dynamic environments, with experience in UK Armed Forces and The Fire & Rescue Service. Prior to founding Umbrella Alex was working as a Trainer and Consultant, helping Security Staff stay safe at work.
Compliance & Financial Services Manager
With 35 years working in financial services, it is not obvious what Sean might bring to the Security Industry table. But with 20 years management experience, 14 years running his own business, and a wealth of protection and insurance product knowledge, the answer becomes more apparent.
Quality Assurance and Member Management
Karen has a background in business and education. She worked in sales and customer service roles before studying for a Post Graduate Certificate of Education and becoming a secondary school science teacher. She then used her skills to undertake the administration for a security training company and now joins us as our customer administrator. Her understanding of the industry puts her in an excellent position to answer any query you may have.
Digital Marketing and Communications Director
James has over 28 years experience in IT, including analyst programmer, project manager (waterfall and agile), delivery manager, continuous improvement specialist, business automation, lead generator, and digital marketer. Combined with his positive attitude in making things happen, James is a proven and trusted asset to Umbrella Cover's operations.
